Information Security Training for IT Professionals
- Advance IT Minnesota helps design, develop and deliver a self-paced, online training program for the MnSCU Office of the Chancellor covering areas from IT infrastructure security to security policies and management.
- In the fall of 2009, Advance IT Minnesota made available Information Technology and Security training to businesses and non-MnSCU higher education institutions.

Information Security Assessments
- Advance IT Minnesota helps conduct Information Security Assessments of all 32 MnSCU colleges and universities which involves a detailed pre-assessment, a kick-off presentation including all stakeholders, a multi-day visit to directly interview employees from all business areas that handle sensitive data, and the presentation of a prioritized roadmap to address security gaps and recommendations.
- Assessments have also been conducted at a number of non-MnSCU higher education institutions and Advance IT Minnesota is planning to expand offerings in this area to include post-assessment services such as IT audits and security implementation assistance.
Applications Training
- Advance IT Minnesota designs and delivers in-person training presently in various technology areas including encryption products and application development security to MnSCU and the State of Minnesota IT staffers.
- Secure Applications Development training is available to software and web development professionals.
